Complementary Medical Hypnosis may require a licensed medical or mental healthcare provider’s referral. Hypnosis has proven itself to be a highly effective support in cases of challenging physical conditions such as burns, cancer, chronic fatigue, hypertension, fibromyalgia, IBS, migraines and headaches, and pain management. It is also very effective in relieving general stress and also anxiety for surgery and medical/dental procedures and in enhancing post-surgical recovery.

Hypnosis can create the all-important positive attitude and expectation for healing by changing one’s perception of the challenge through suggestion. Medical Hypnosis can be contraindicated if the client has a history of schizophrenia or other diagnosed disorders such as bipolar, epilepsy, heart disease, and chronic depression. Especially in those, and some other instances, certain factors and/or prescribed medications can interfere with the effectiveness of hypnosis. So it is essential that those conditions and medications be noted when calling for an appointment and that a professional referral, if required, be received before treatment is begun. A referral request can be sent or faxed from our office to your attending medical or mental healthcare provider.

Hypnotism is a process of educating clients to master abilities they already have. Clients learn to enter and use trance state to control aspects of their behavior that may have been beyond their conscious control. Moving beyond pain and discomfort, learning to improve mood, creating positive attitudes, and adjusting habits all become possible. Healing can then occur in surprising ways!
